Le travail du bois, du cuir et des métaux sont une véritable passion pour Sébastien qui depuis 27 ans s’est développé dans les métiers de l’ébénisterie, la facture d’Orgues et la tuyauterie d’étain et de plomb. Une fois ses qualifications obtenues, il n’a cessé de suivre ses passions qui l’ont mené en Amérique du nord, aux Antilles et en France. La menuiserie, l’ébénisterie, la précision, la beauté et la finesse guident ses gestes.

Sébastien Metz, organ builder, organ pipe maker and cabinetmaker has a various and interesting career, working in different parts of the world (Germany, France, Canada, United States), firstly as employed craftsman and now as independent undertaker.

His work includes

  • the renovation and reconstruction of instruments
  • the installation of revised second-hand organs
  • the manufacture of a new organ, designed and built entirely in his workshop

From personalized projects to renovations, S. Metz carries out his tasks with enthusiasm and energy, knowing how to suit the clientele’s architectural and musical sound taste.

Certain particular domains such as carving, turnery or part of the piping are entrusted to specialized local craftsmen.

Administration tasks are managed by his wife Sandrine Metz whose solid support is essential for the good functioning and the efficiency of the team.

The team of “Planète-Bois-E1” is tuned to their clients wishes and proposes them “tailor-made” productions without speculating on large gains; their passion being a job well done, they make show of rare patience and endurance qualities enabling them to realize projects of excellent quality and feature.

Installation de notre nouvel atelier

Mai 2021,

L’ensemble de notre matériel a été transféré dans notre nouveau local à Fraize, dans les Vosges. De nouvelles machines sont venues compléter notre belle collection et les premiers matériaux ont également été livrés.

Ces nouvelles machines ont été montées très rapidement pour nous permettre de lancer l’activité au plus vite. : nous sommes depuis mi-mai entièrement opérationnels pour la réalisations de vos projets.
